Registration Information

Registration Procedure

All coach registrations must be completed via USA Swimming's SWIMS 3.0 / Online Member Registration platform.

If you are attached to a club, contact your club registrar or head coach for further instructions.

If you are not attached to a club, begin the unattached registration process by clicking this link.

Transfer Information

Transfers are now initiated online via USA Swimming's SWIMS 3.0 / Online Member Registration paltform.

To initiate a transfer:

1. Log-in to the USA Swimming website (http://hub.usaswimming.org)
2. Select "General Info" under the "Account" section of your dashboard
3. Select the "General" tab, and then select the "Club Transfer" menu pill
4. Complete the on-screen form and submit

All transfers are subject to Michigan Swimming approval. Transfers are only effective after approved.

The transfer fee will be billed to the receiving club, unless you are transferring to unattached. There is no fee for transferring to unattached

All USA Swimming-mandated education requirements (e.g., athlete protection training) are now completed via USA Swimming University.

To access USA Swimming University:

1. Log-in to the USA Swimming website (http://hub.usaswimming.org)
2. Select "Education" in the top navigation menu
3. Select the applicable course from the list, add it to your cart, and complete the course
4. Upon course completion, allow up to 48 hours for your member dashboard and member card to update

IMPORTANT NOTE: Until your member card shows you as being in good standing, you are not permitted to participate in any USA Swimming or Michigan Swimming activity (including practice or competition). There are absolutely no exceptions, even if you believe you have met the education requirements.

If you do not see your education requirements updated in your member dashboard or on your membership card, submit a support ticket with USA Swimming.
